Northeast Indiana Trails Charrette

On November 6, 2015, four members of Noble Trails joined several dozen other trail enthusiast from throughout Northeast Indiana to examine the future of trails inour area. With eleven counties represented, groups first began on how to connect areas within each county, then progressed to identifying regional trail connections to connect counties with each other.

Scott Allen, Claudette Lear, Leigh Pranger, and Jennifer Will represented Noble Trails. With representatives from Ligonier and Albion, the group added recently developed trails, identified a number of key corridors to connect throughout the counties, and specified which of those trails were top priority.

Working with the neighboring counties, it was also evident that Noble County was an important cross roads to connect significant areas of the adjacent counties. Trail throughout Noble County are important to connect Fort Wayne to the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail. Connecting to Noble County is also an improtant goal of the trails around Syracuse.
